Howdy, folks. You may remember me. Slippy Jenkins. I used to post here. Well, I'm back from my blogging exile, at least for a day...or until the Liquid Generation Overlords keep from calling me into meetings about whether or not Studio 60 sucks (it doesn't, kinda. And Heroes? It looks cool. Wish it would be more dramatic. And Ali Larter is hot.) But I have some nuggets to share about some upcoming events here at Liquid Generation!
1) Did you all meet Doc Manhattan? He's one of the other writers here at LG, although you might not know it if you read the Nightly News Cap post before I edited it. Note to Writers: Only one person here is allowed to make grammer/spelling errors and that's me. We can just one writer sucking at English, but not two. And dear God never three. Anway, he's Doc. I'll post a picture soon so you can all see his mug.
2) This blog isn't going to be around any much longer. See #3.
3) Yes, the rumors you heard were true. The Suck My Blog is going away. Well, at least to another URL. Why? See #4.
4) Liquid Generation is getting a facelift...more than a facelift actually. It's getting a whole motherfreaking transplant. A new redesign. From the ground up. No pixel or piece of code is surviving from the old Liquid Generation. How does the new site look? Awesome. It's so entirely different from anything we've ever done and it's exciting. There are some new features and user interface designs that I've never seen before on the internets and this makes me happy. I hope that you'll be even happier and come to the website more and more.
5) But the only thing you probably care about is the content...the cartoons and games, right? Well, we've got those, too. Without giving away much of the surprise...here are some details...
- We've got a new cartoon series on the rocker...it's callled Tremendoustan...it's about a couple of guys who live in a Middle Eastern country that's 1.5 blocks long and smack dab in the middle of the Axis of Evil (and France).
- We're just putting the finishing touches on a game called Little Loki Escapes From Hell. It's addictive and adorable and you'll want this on your Nintendo DS.
- Goodbye Suck My News Weekly -- Welcome to The Newsiverse! Yes, after over 200 episodes the Suck My News is going away. Finally. We've been looking for a replacement for such a long time and we think we've found it.
- LG Music -- Nixon has been working his ass of getting bands into our studio to record some great acoustic sets for the new music section. Many of the bands that have played here have been really, really great. If you're looking for new music this is your place as Nixon will be telling you about all the stuff you should be listening to. Also, music games!
- Games -- Like I said earlier, Little Loki Escapes from Hell is off the chain (or rocker?). In addition to games, we're also going to have video game reviews, interviews with game makers, podcast, a weekly game, contests, and oh yeah...one more thing -- BOOTH BABES! Yes, this is going to be where video game nerds go to get off.
Okay, I'm gonna stop right now. I didn't intend to write all this, but I thought you guys should know before the whole world does. It's only far to you loyal LG fans, right?
When is this all going down? All I can say is soon. Maybe a week. Maybe a day. Maybe a month. Okay, not a month. But if there's anything I've learned from working at an internet company...expect the unexpected!
But once you see what we've got in store...it will be well worth the wait!
