As I've documented here and here, I have sort of a geek crush on the girl in the USPS Commercials, aka Angie, aka the girl in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, aka World of Warcraft player, aka actress Felicia Day. I first noticed her in the USPS commercials. What a cute girl I thought! And then I quickly forgot about her. But then a few days later I was listening to the Digg podcast and Alex mentions the commercial, kinda in passing, and that he knew her and that she plays World of Warcraft. I knew then that that I was in love.
So I asked you guys if you have seen her anywhere and you found out that her name is Felicia Day and she's acted a number of cool shows. But still, we didn't have any confirmation that she lays the smack down in WoW. I thought I'd just have to live the rest of my life wondering if this type of girl existed: Cute. Actress. Vampire Slayer. WoW Addict.
You can imagine I just about crapped my pants when I received this email over the weekend.
Hi,
Someone sent me a link to your posting on my [sic] and, although I wouldn't normally email ppl about this sort of thing, I wanted to clarify this:
I do not play horde. Gross.
I am a gnome warlock.
:PThank you,
Felicia
No, Felicia, thank you. As I long as I know there are girls like you playing this game, I don't feel so nerdy!
I'd love to know if other celebs out there are playing. I heard Dave Chappelle plays...I'm sure there are others...
Update: Looks like Jonathan Davis (lead singer of Korn) is a WoW fan. And here's the story on Dave Chappelle. (via WoWinsider)
And this just in from our comments: "Ben Affleck was part of the WoW beta." Get the F out of here! LOL.

Ben Affleck was part of the WoW beta. I'm not sure if he still plays though.

My friend was over the other day, and I showed him http://www.exploitsrus.com/wow.html It is a site with cheats, bugs, dupes, etc for world of warcraft. He told me it was against the rules for wow to do this. Is this true? I am used to cheating on video games for my whole life, so I was sort of shocked to hear this.
